The Big Book of Near Death Experiences: The Ultimate Guide to What Happens When We Die by P.M.H. Atwater (pre-order now from amazon.com for delivery October 2007)[Howard Storm was dragged into excruciating realms of darkness as his body lay dying in a hospital bed and thought he was in Hell. This is an interesting example of a Bardo experience where one comes face to face with ones demons and experiences a life review to clear away the bad karma, then reaches out for the light and is surrounded by love. Although Christian-oriented, he's not preachy and allows for a broad range of beliefs. His near death experience turned his life around. His book is a message of hope for people who live in fear of punishment for their sins. I highly recommend it. --dg]

Light on Death is a beautifully designed little book the describes the Vedic teachings of conscious dying through the eyes of a Hospice spiritual counselor in Hawaii. He describes death as our Great Transition and a powerful rite of passage. Recommended to those preparing for their transition and their caregivers. -dg
